With the class of ’26’ departing from their high school career, it’s up to the class of ’27 to take up the role as the leaders of Kathleen MacDonald Highschool with the addition of freshmen this year. This is a big responsibility for the new up and coming leaders. Many people at this school are speculating that next year will be ‘hype’ due to the energy of the current juniors soon to be seniors, as stated by Khalil Chenennou, a junior here at Macdonald High School.
Chennanou said that next year’s’ seniors will make next year how they want it to be. He said he expects the future leaders to set up a more exciting year through planning entertaining pep rallies, interesting spirit weeks, fun dances, after school events, and sports.
Chenennou also said he already has his sights set on people who he believes will be great leaders in the future including one who is already seen as a role model here at this school. That student being Carson Balmonte. “Carson Balmonte, he’ll definitely be up there for sure. A lot of people do look up to him as a role model for sure”, Chennennou said.
While it may be scary to have the class of ’26 departing after 4 years of leading, the class of ‘27’ is ready to keep the school pride and take on any challenge and get the future juniors ready as well.
