Many seniors wonder if they’re too old to trick-or-treat on Halloween. But who decided that? This is the classic senior thought—you’re basically an adult, but also free candy. Halloween is supposed to be fun. People get way too hung up on the “that’s for little kids” thing. What’s the harm? Try not to overcomplicate Halloween and approach it with a level of enthusiasm where no one gets hurt in the process.
At Macdonald High School, 50 sophomores, juniors, and seniors responded, and 98% agreed that seniors should be able to trick or treat. Additionally, 78% of respondents said they prefer that seniors trick-or-treat after 8 pm.
There’s this vibe in senior year where everything feels like it’s the “last” of something. Last homecoming, last pep rally, last time you can get away with trick-or-treating without people fully judging you. So why not go for it? Life gets way too serious after high school anyway, so might as well live life and have fun. You want to trick-or-treat at 17 or 18? Do it. You don’t wanna regret it.
