Students at MacDonald enjoy doing nails. Some students do their own nails and others do nails for clients. Nails at MHS have lots of different styles and trends.
Jasmine Ramirez, a student at KMHS, likes cats, bunnies, and her favorite color is pink. She is into alternative types of nails, or a jack type and does some really nice designs on her nails. Her favorite nails are coffin shaped nails. She likes to go with Coffin nails, which is a popular trendy nail because they go with her style and her outfits. She gets her nail inspiration from Pinterest.
“It’s a girly thing to do like a cute accessory,” Ramirez said.
Brittaney Salinas is a sophomore at KMHS, and has a nail business that she has had since the end of sixth grade. The type of trends she’s into right now are anything Y2K, which are retro 2000 styles, or duck nails, which are flat on top. They are really in style right now. Stilettos nails, which are bold and long, are also popular.
She knows she will try a new style to see if she likes it and usually does them every month.
“Just feel free to come to me cause I make my clients feel pretty and happy,” said Salinas.
