Everyone has their special hobby or interest – something that makes them excited. For many people, that outlet is video games.
Students have come together to form a Video Game Club, which aims to help relieve stress. This club usually meets weekly after school in Ms. Pham’s classroom, L212, on Tuesdays.
The members of the club have shown more excitement and happiness while playing the games with friends. “I feel pretty happy, especially when I’m playing with friends, because the more friends, the more fun,” said Jason Liu, a student at MacDonald. “Most students like to play games that engage them with friends and positive reactions”.
The club’s goal isn’t just to relieve the stress of students, but also to encourage the creation and retention of friendships. “I usually play by myself or with friends, like Roblox and Call of Duty,” said Rosa Perez, a member of the Video Game Club.
Overall, this allows students to not only explore new hobbies but also learn about the fun aspects of video games alongside friends.
